Understanding Your Dashboard

Your dashboard is your home base in SkyJourney, providing a quick overview of your travel history and upcoming adventures.

Dashboard Components​

Flight Statistics Cards​

At the top of your dashboard, you'll see key metrics:

  • Total Flights - Your lifetime flight count
  • Total Distance - Cumulative distance traveled
  • Total Duration - Time spent in the air
  • Countries Visited - Number of unique countries

Click any card to see detailed statistics.

Next Flight Card​

Shows your upcoming flight with:

  • Flight number and route
  • Departure countdown
  • Airline and aircraft information
  • Quick actions (edit, view details)
Future Flights

Only flights with departure times in the future appear here.

Quick Actions​

Fast access to common tasks:

  • Add Flight - Start logging a new journey
  • Import Flights - Bulk upload from other apps
  • View Stats - Jump to detailed analytics
  • Airports - Explore visited airports

Recent Flights​

Your latest flights displayed chronologically:

  • Flight route and number
  • Date and time
  • Airline logo
  • Click to view full details

Interactive Map​

Visualize your travel history:

  • Flight paths - Lines connecting airports you've flown
  • Airports - Markers for all visited locations
  • Zoom and pan - Explore your global footprint

The map updates automatically as you add flights.

Customizing Your View​

Unit Preferences​

Switch between metric, imperial, and aviation measurements:

  1. Open the unit selector in the app sidebar
  2. Select Metric, Imperial, or Aviation
  3. All distances, speeds, and altitudes update automatically

Dashboard Stats​

Your dashboard statistics update in real-time:

  • Add a flight → Stats increase immediately
  • Delete a flight → Stats adjust accordingly
  • Import flights → Bulk updates reflected

Using Quick Stats​

The statistics cards are interactive:

Total Flights​

  • Shows your flight count
  • Click to view all flights
  • Hover to see this year's count

Total Distance​

  • Cumulative kilometers/miles
  • Updates with each flight
  • Accounts for actual route distance

Total Duration​

  • Time in the air
  • Formatted as hours and minutes
  • Excludes layover time

Countries Visited​

  • Unique country count
  • Based on airport locations
  • Click for country breakdown
