Import from JetLovers

Easily transfer your flight log from JetLovers to SkyJourney.

Prerequisites​

  • JetLovers account with flight data
  • Access to JetLovers app or website
  • Export capability (check your account tier)

Export from JetLovers​

Step 1: Open JetLovers​

  1. Launch the JetLovers app or website
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Navigate to your flights or logbook

Step 2: Access Export Function​

  1. Go to Settings or Account
  2. Find Export Data or Download Flights
  3. Select export options

Step 3: Download CSV​

  1. Choose CSV format
  2. Select date range (or all flights)
  3. Tap/click Export or Download
  4. Save the file to your device

Import to SkyJourney​

Step 1: Prepare for Import​

  1. Transfer CSV to your computer (if exported from mobile)
  2. Don't modify the file
  3. Keep the original as backup

Step 2: Start Import​

  1. Log in to SkyJourney
  2. Navigate to Flights → Add Flight
  3. Click Import
  4. Select JetLovers from the dropdown

Step 3: Upload and Process​

  1. Click Choose File
  2. Select your JetLovers CSV
  3. Click Upload
  4. Wait for file processing

Step 4: Review and Confirm​

  1. Review import summary
  2. Check for warnings or errors
  3. Preview sample flights
  4. Click Import Flights to complete

Imported Data Fields​

JetLovers export typically includes:

  • ✅ Flight number
  • ✅ Airline
  • ✅ Route (departure and arrival airports)
  • ✅ Date and time
  • ✅ Aircraft type
  • ✅ Seat number (if logged)
  • ✅ Flight class (if logged)
  • ❌ Price information
  • ❌ Detailed notes

After Import​

Check Your Flights​

  1. Go to Flights page
  2. Spot-check random entries
  3. Verify airports and times
  4. Look for duplicates

Add Missing Details​

Enhance imported flights:

  • Add seat preferences
  • Include flight class
  • Add price information
  • Write notes about memorable flights

Update Statistics​

Your statistics will automatically update:

  • Total flights
  • Distance traveled
  • Countries visited
  • Airlines flown

Common Issues​

Export Not Working​

Problem: Can't find export option

Solutions:

  • Check if feature requires premium account
  • Update JetLovers app to latest version
  • Try web version instead of app
  • Contact JetLovers support

Import Fails​

Problem: File won't import

Solutions:

  • Ensure CSV hasn't been edited
  • Check file size (max 10MB)
  • Verify JetLovers selected as source
  • Try re-exporting from JetLovers

Duplicate Flights​

Problem: Some flights imported twice

Solutions:

  • SkyJourney tries to detect duplicates
  • Delete duplicates manually
  • Keep the most complete version

Data Quality Tips​

Import Success
  • Complete data in JetLovers first - The more data in JetLovers, the better the import
  • Export regularly - Don't wait until you have hundreds of flights
  • Test import - Try with recent flights first
  • Verify after import - Always check a few flights

Differences from JetLovers​

SkyJourney offers:

Both services can coexist - keep using both if you prefer!
